Activities at Bellas Manitas Learning Center give your child the exposure that he or she needs to tread exciting milestones in the formative years. We have carefully planned lessons to help our students to grow cognitively, socially, physically and in language skills.
Math, Science, Reading, and Social Studies classes will be taught in English. Our curriculum is based on the hands-on model, which allows children to learn and play. Each child is seen as a very special person and it is the role of teachers to help each child develop to their fullest potential.
Our preschool curriculum is developmentally appropriate and meets the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Here are some curricular areas the children at Bellas Manitas will explore. They will discover ways in which plants change as the seasons change.
- They will listen to stories that illustrate what life was like for children in the past.
- They will identify which groups of objects have less.
- They will use oral language to share a personal experience or interest.
Music & Art
Children will be encouraged to participate in a variety of sensory activities and to participate in a variety of songs, skits, and dance. Use of props (“Lola-the puppet”), dialogue, music and dance will be incorporated to enhance the children’s enthusiasm. Music and art contributes to the children’s social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development.
Children will use computers to investigate questions, solve problems, and explore and manipulate objects on the screen. Computers offer many opportunities for children to learn across all content areas.
Your child is very special, and it is our goal to attend to all of his/her needs – personal and developmental. You are an important part of our community. It is a privilege to be a part of you and your child’s lives. We hope that you can join our activities at Bellas Manitas Learning Center soon. Call 617-440-5002 for admission inquiries.
